Fun and Easy Halloween Photoshoot: Inspired by Instagram trends

This year, more than any other years, I am in with the trends and ahead with seasonal events it seems. You will hear me mentioning the word 'Christmas' here and there, something I would normally not dare saying until mid-November.

With still a few weeks to go until Halloween, I thought I would share some easy ideas for you to reproduce at home. It is the perfect opportunity for something to do with your loved one(s) whilst enjoying some time outside. The weather is still acceptable, right... here in Warwickshire at least.

I was, of course, inspired by the hundreds of Instagram posts out there. I had to try it for myself, and to put my own spin on it, I asked for my husband to be the model.

The goal was for the photoshoot to be easy, quick, cheap and stress-free Woww.. that all? So came Sunday and we were off. My husband was up for it, my kids were too. I was excited.

• Who: myself, my husband and our two kids

• What: a guitar, a white fitted sheet, a pair of sunglasses and a cap

• Where: a little alley with loads of character right by our house.

The double fitted sheet was a litlte small but we brought most of it forward as we didn't need to see my husband's back. The photoshoot didn't take more than 15minutes and I let my kids direct the photoshoot. My son came up with some awesome ideas and my youngest had to direct her Dad as he couldn't see a thing through the sheet. This was the perfect recipe for a quiet afternoon and I couldn't be happier with the result.

It's now your turn to give it a try. Grab a sheet from home.. any colour will do. Don't forget the sunglasses and a prop that is personal to you. You don't need to travel far either. Grab the family, pack all the props in a bag, go for a walk and when you see a place you like, give a fun little job to everyone for 10 minutes. You will love the result!
