For the very first time, I ran some Christmas minis in my village this year, the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. And whilst they are done for 2024, thispost may find you for 2025.
In case you aren't familiar with the concept, Christmas mini sessions are short, themed photoshoots designed to capture festive holiday moments. They typically last between 15-30 minutes, making them an affordable and time-efficient option.
Mini sessions have many pros, especially for families with young kids! They are quick and to the point, leaving little to no time for kids to get bored. These sessions are perfect for kids that can't do much longer than 15 minutes. Another perk is that mini sessions are at a lower price point than full sessions.
WHAT TO WEAR ?
Colors: Festive colors like red, white, and green work well, but you can also use complementary colors like creams, grays, and dark greens. Rich colors like burgundy and emerald can add depth.
Patterns: Avoid busy patterns if in a group, but a classic tartan can look great. You can also use a mix of patterns and colors.
Textures: Chunky knit jumpers and other textured clothing work well on camera. Wool, fur capes, feathers, and lace can add dimension to portraits.
Fit: Make sure your clothes fit well and are comfortable, especially for the little ones.
Accessories: Accessories like hats, jewelry, and headbands can add to your look. Why not bring your little one's seasonal cuddly toy.
